Dye Sublimation

The Dye Sublimation process is a process by which water based inks are computer printed to a special Sublimation paper and then heat transferred onto a substrate or surface. These surfaces can include fabrics, ceramics, metals, timber, leather and other polymer treated materials.

Sublimation simply means a change from a solid to gaseous state and back to a solid without becoming a liquid. Thus the dye particles migrate from the paper as a gas, to bond with a polymer, fabric or other material and become solid again.
